Installing RE2/RE3 PS4 mods:
Part I - Convert and repack mods
1. Download PS4-RE-TEX, RE-PAK, PS4 Patch Builder and PS4 SDK files (orbis-image2gnf.exe, libSceTextureTool.dll, libSceGpuAddress.dll, libSceGnm.dll)
2. Extract RE-PAK archive in a folder of your choice.
3. Extract the file contents of the PS4-RE-TEX into the RE-PACK folder.
4. Copy the PS4 SDK files into the "Data" folder inside of the RE-PAK folder.
5. Download a PC mod for RE2/RE3.
6. Extract the "natives" folder contained in the mod archive in to the RE-PAK folder.
7. Enter "natives" folder and rename the contained folder "x64"/"stm" to "ps4".
8. Enter "ps4" folder. If there isn't "streaming" folder, you must create it.
9. If there is a "sectionroot" folder , copy it into the "streaming" folder.
10. Return to RE-PAK directory and run "nomip.bat", wait for the command window showing "Working..." to close.
11. Run "RE_PAK.exe"
12. On the first question, choose your answer according to the game you want to install mod for.
13. On the second question, choose "Yes", if you're running the tool for a first time.
14. On the window that opened: File => Create hash list => Yes ( to download the list ) => Replace "x64"/"stm" with "ps4" => "OK" => "Save".
15. Exit the tool.
16. Repeat steps "11-13", but this time, on the second question, choose "No".
17. A window will pop up, select the file that was created in step 14 and press "Open".
18. Back at the RE PAK tool: File => PAK Creator.
19. A little window opens with 2 options: "Open/Save" and "Create"
20. Press "Open/Save" => Step 17 => An exception is thrown, just ignore it and press "Continue".
note: If that doesn't work for you, you can use PS4 Patch Builder tool to extract the 2 original game .pak files from the base_game.fpkg and select them instead!
21. At the little window with 2 choices press "Create". Wait until a window pops-up and say "Finished".
22. There must be a file(s) with a .pak extension in the folder now, e.g. "re_chunk_000.pak.patch_001.pak"
Part II - Creating a modded patch fpkg from base game and patch (update) fpkgs
23. Extract and run the PS4 Patch Builder tool.
24. Package Extraction => RE2/RE3_patch.pkg => Open => Extract Package => Choose location => Select All => Export File(s) => Close window when finished.
25. Look at the folder with the extracted patch files. There is a folder named "Ïmage0". Inside there must be couple of files with .pak extension.
26. Rename the file(s) created in step 22 with last digit incremented, corresponding to the filenames in the "Image0" folder and copy it(them) there.
27. Back at PS4 Patch Builder tool.
28. Project location => Choose "extracted patch folder\Image0\" => "OK"
29. Package Settings => Choose "RE2/RE3_base_game.pkg" location.
30. Choose output dir for modded patch fpkg file.
31. Install with Debug Settings on the PS4.
